I have been involved with animals my entire life. From farms to the ASPCA, I started with German Shepherds and enjoyed that breed for years. Upon my initial encounter with a Bullmastiff at a Humane Society, I came to the instant realization that this magnificent animal would be the breed I would care for the rest of my life, or as long as I had the ability to do so. I invested a year or so researching the origins, history, bloodlines and the numerous breeders worldwide. I noticed a vast deviation between the different lines and breeding practices. I have meticulously selected my stock from programs that have the various features I strive for in my development of Rattle head. I look for a typey copious head piece, heavy bones and sound movement and a calm disposition. I careen toward the working dog rather than pure aesthetic show dog. I do show, but that is a small piece in the puzzle that is Rattlehead. My program incudes testing, DNA registration and regular health checks. I feed raw from the time they are weaned through their life with some high grade kibble. I continue to learn from this prodigious breed and believe there is no end to this process.
Thanks for the visit…

ECCLESIASTES 3:19-21
Man's fate is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath, man has no advantage over the animal. Everything is meaningless. All go to the same place; all come from dust and to dust all return. Who knows if the spirit of man rises upward and if the spirit of the animal goes down into the earth? |
